Wednesday's Pool Tournament at Carlos' Place

Sure was a paltry turnout for the international pool tournament at Carlos'. Just Alex, Terry, English Alan and Alfredo from the regular group. There was also a newbie named Ken from Alberta. And Carlos brought in two ringers, Javier and Antonio, to defend Mexico's honor. We divided into four teams and played a simple elimination tournament. The winning teams had to take two out of three games to advance. The team of Alex and Ken won the championship series, 2-0, over the Mexican all-stars. There is now a laminated placard hanging from the wall in the bar to commemorate the event. Woohoo!
