Some big changes announced in today, December 28, PV Mirror, page 7

Among the announcements are the removal of the newly completed tunnels in favor of an open road, and the building of a new isthmus/peninsula into the Bay to include a large number of luxury hotels. The leasing of the new space will pay for the tunnel work. Both tunnels will be closed for at least one year.

I suspect you have been taken in by an "El Día de los Santos Inocentes" prank. Read that issue's editorial then read the story again and note that it is attributed to "PVBS" as is another story about a lounge opening that will charge 5 pesos per drink.

Ha Ha - you got it! PVMirror does this every year. One year they did one on a new car tax and people really bought into it.
