TIP via online

 In preparation for my February 2014 return to Ajijic, I applied for my Temporary Importation Permit for my Canadian plated vehicle on December 30 using the online process. Much to my surprise, the permit was delivered by DHL courier to my Abbotsford, British Columbia home on January 3. Wow!! This was the first time I used the online process. Very simple process. Now I just have to scan the required documentation and email it back to Banjercito.

Also of note, the last time I exited Mexico, I turned in my TIP just south of Nogales and received the return of my deposit in about one week. Again.....Wow!

Having crossed into Mexico many times in the past, I am amazed by the efficiency of the online system and return of deposit. Well done Mexico.

  

Happy to hear it rjf. We have been doing the same for the past 3 years. My 1st trip thru Nogales back in 2004 was a nightmare of sorts getting the TIP permit......It took nearly 3 hours due to high traffic @ Nogales, and a very long line!
