surgery on the beezer gearbox

See the spring like a large safety pin to the left of the word Norton,
there was one like that (gear shift return spring)in my BSA, and it broke in Ireland.

I got a metal coat hanger from a farm close by and made a new one, that got me to town to buy a new one.

my closest parts supplier is in abq,nm but i usually still get most of my bits from edmonton where i have been getting them for 20 years. the rubber bit on my kicker is norton.

Do you have a spring like this in your gear box?

no the kick return spring is like the 3rd one up in your norton foto

How do you guys score on this one? Only for the U.K. but interesting how many still on the road.

i belong to a forum only for a7's-10's and there are members all over the world who are riding them. i am the only mexican member but i know of 2 other beezers here. one in guadalajara[basket case] and a '59 goldstar[concourse] in df. you couldn't trade me 2 harleys fer my amazing beezer. '61 years old this year.

al young has done it again. he made a rear brass bushing for my lay shaft that even compensates for a 5 thou difernce from one end to other. that's even better than if i would have ordered a new one from my supplier because the new one would have let the shaft whack around and caused a prob again.
