Looking for sastre in Chapala Empty Looking for sastre in Chapala

Post by Flamingo Wed Jul 30, 2014 11:45 am

OK, first we used Eva, who was a wonderful tailor, but she moved to the beach. Then we used Leo, who is near the Chapala Mercado, but he recently retired. Does anyone know of another sastre in Chapala? We really don't want to drive all the way to Ajijic, to a pricey sastre, just to get things like zippers fixed.

Thanks

It may help if you wrote in Spanish or in English without mixing both.

Ask for Mister/Señor Briseño in the Chapala Plaza/ Square. He might live on Lopez Cotilla,or be up in Pescadores/Fishermen. He is a good Sastre/Tailor.

And quit mixing English and Spanish!

Spanglish is fine, it is when you intersperse Spanish words in English sentences that you run afoul with la ley!

I'm having two blouses made with the tailor, Ricardo, who is on the right as you're leaving Chapala going west. He's in the wicker furniture store. I understand he makes school uniforms. I took him a pattern and his wife took my measurements to be sure. The price was very reasonable and he has also made a bed cover for me in the past that I'm very pleased with as far as cost, material and workmanship.
