Where locally can I buy Medium to large pots for plants at a reasonable price that will not deteriorate. They will be on the terrace but could get wet from rain or the sprinklers and of course watering. I am looking for either clay or the Talavera type pots.

With clay pots I have not had good luck with the pots holding up. Even watering would cause them to flake and deteriorate.

You need to get ceramic pots that are glazed inside and out. The better ones even have a rubberized coating on the inside. And you want to ensure they have drainage holes. There is a place on the libramiento across from the Pemex and another place by Maganas Restaurant in Riberas.

that place beside maganas has a super inventory and reasonably priced. almost all of our pots including very large with trees in them are clay. what has wrecked them is roots not water. same with the all ceramic. they are so inexpensive including hiring someone to repot them, that it really doesn't matter.a few of our clay pots that are still good came with the house 8 years ago so who knows how old they are. come and have a look if you wish.
