Good News Cruz Roja

Good news for Cruz Roja in Chapala - according to the Guadalajara Reporter there is new administration there, and they have managed to get Dr. Sam Thelin back as Medical Director. I have never had the need to meet him but many people that I respect claim he is a true community asset and deeply committed to his profession.

Dr. Sam is the best!  I have seen Dr. Sam in action.  He has provided care to Deb and I, plus many I have referred.  CONGRATULATIONS CRUZ ROJA! 

Boy oh boyo...when you get the last three posters/characters to totally agree on something...it's "un milagro"...almost up there with a second coming.

While we're at it, a good time to let new posters know, Cruz Roja is open 24/7, no appointment necessary.  They have a state of the art XRAY unit.  Bring your own disc(DVD)  cost is 100-200 pesos.  Treatment for my wife's scorpion sting at 3 AM was around 300 pesos, plus donation if you are so inclined.

Yes, the X-ray machine is back in operation. We still need to make some improvements to the main feed wiring. However, at this point it took all the funding just to repair the unit, and still pay the monthly overhead.

Dr. Sam, do you need bulbs for the Xray?   I am flying into GDL on the 10th of Sept.   I can bring a few small items.

Hola Jim. So far we have only used one extra that you brought from last time for us. We are good on bulbs for at least another year or two. We do need a few other small items (and a few very large items). Let me make a list of priorities, and I will send it to you.
