I watched the Mesquite,Az. semi finals. A 30 year , Jamie Sadlowski, Canadian hit a drive 469 yards to win his division. Jamie is 5'11" , 180 pounds! Jamie is a class act. The competitors, averaged 6'3, 250 pounds.

Jamie is in his 30's, his swing speed was 144mph, Ball speed 209. He has won the event twice since 2008.

I am a shaft junkie. All high tech! Allows me at the age of 67......to hit it/rip it! GREAT Day !

I didn't even know that 469 yards was possible. That's amazing.

Bob, they have a swing test machine.....I think they call Iron Mike plus others. I think this is the only machine that can't beat man at this level. At 140mph swing speed the machine breaks the shaft, cause the machine is start stop with virtually no release, causing the shaft to break.

That's nothing,I was playing the three par course at Rancho Park and shanked my drive,the ball landed on Pico Blvd and bounced and rolled at least three blocks,my caddie earned his pay that day!
