I'm looking for the name of the street in Guadalajara  that has fabric stores on both sides of the street. It's about a block long of shops,  some with high end fabrics used for weddings and formal events.  I've been there before but cant remember the name.

I've checked on line and the Ajijic quilters guild, but they do not make any reference to the area I'm looking for.

Thank you.

If it is high-end fabrics, you are probably thinking of Av. Chapultepec just south of Av. Mexico and on both the east and west sides of the street. Lower-end fabrics and close-outs can be found in the Santa Teresita neighborhood.

Actually you can find nice linen in Santa Teresita, cheaper and with more variety of colors and quality than on Chapultepec. When it comes to fabrics for evening dresses, Chapultepec is better.
