I need a small slab of Mexican marble (reddish colored) or granite for an outdoor coffee table,

Just a small piece, approximately 24 by 48 inches.

Are there any recommendations for a local source?

Ticul is also red and Works fine for table tops. It is a stone from the Yucatán.

It's on the lake side of the caraterra in the vacinity of the dental express as I recall. He's always got an ad in the Guad Rptr but I can't recall the name of his business! I can navigate but I can't remember where I'm going, so I never get there!

Yes, Rudy is on the lateral, south side of the highway, near the Dental Express location. It will be obvious, when you get there.

Rudy's company name is Ajijic Marble.
Head west on the carretera to Rio Bravo, then left and a quick left on to the lateral.
The store is then on your right.
