Gas leak-Help
My stove has a gas leak. I have called Camerena. I got an answering machine, left a call back number. No call back.
I called Electrovento and they would come late tomorrow. Too long a wait.
Any other suggestions?

Re: Gas leak-Help
Ha, I just had this problem. Turns out it WAS the valve, so turning it off was not an option.

Re: Gas leak-Help
I finally got hold of Camarena. They just left with a piece of the stove that needs to be repaired
and will return with it in a couple of hours. Semalu I have copied Jose's number for future use.
Pedro thank you for the reminder to turn off the gust line. I had done it but if I hadn't it was a good information.
Thank you both.

Re: Gas leak-Help
Gas is a problem here. One must be very vigilant. Last year I had an underground gas leak which required major repairs, and my very competent electrician/gas person immediately shut down the gas until he could determine where the leak was, which thankfully was underground. Well, that had a good outcome, thank God. But please be vigilant. If your gas costs are too high, it is worth checking your gas lines!

... and the age of the tanks. They really should be scrapped and replaced if 20 yrs. old or more. The manufacturing date is on the name plate usually welded on the side of the tank. I just replaced mine and it was manufactured in 1995.

Re: Gas leak-Help
I replaced my 300 liter tank when we bought our house. Not sure how old it was but the thick layer of rust on it told me to replace it. The gas guys were happy when I told them they could have the old one. Somehow I think a fresh coast of paint is going to give that old one another 20 years.......jajaja.
