Fibreglass macetas anyone?
A long long while ago I remember seeing fibreglass macetas for sale but cannot for the life of me remember where. They were paintable or came in a selection of stone like or barro (clay pot) type finishes and were ideal for very large plants. Does any one recall these and know where I might find them? Thanks either way.

It's Flora Exotica Pedro....you're right, a good place to look.
I've also seen them in the garden center of Home Depot on the corner of the Periferico and Lopez Mateos Sur, in the big city.

Thanks; I will check them both out. I head downtown on Friday anyway.
I am expecting a challenge as I need a real big one for a palm tree. Barro is too heavy to work with at this size and the old barro one just split its pants. My last resort will be Tonala I guess.

i got this at flora exotica and that's a 10ft. fishtail palm in it. 2 men could barely get it in the yard and then junior and his helper had a haitch of a time planting the palm in it. got a deal-900p-they're usually about 1500p in tonala. that's the only one they had though. it ain't gonna break any time soon if at all the old clay one was about half that size and lasted about 3 years. it was only about 1/3 the thickness and didn't have the metal. it's worth getting somebody to do the work for you.

I'll go with remembering seeing them at Home Depot. I think they have an online catalog for Mexican stores.

That's a real nice maceta Pedro. And you can bet your booties I have no desire to do the work myself! I am off now to check out a few of the suggestions and will leave Home depot for last as I go into town Friday. Thanks All!
