Mark Turford has a variety of rentals (333-398-9045) $25 to $35 per day. Reduced rates for weekly and monthly.
Ron Young rents out old VW's beetles for $1800 mxn per week (765-6387). No AC though.

Gracias. Any other info? Trying to get some thing very reasonable. Doesn't have to have a/c or be fancy, just able to get around.

That's about as cheap as it gets. The big players at the airport want around $50.00 per day after they tack on their mandatory insurance.
Perhaps you need a donkey......jaja.

I rented a little Nolte I think it was called, from S&S Auto. Great little car and very spacious. It was perfect around town and it wasn't expensive but dont remember the rate. I like to deal with them as well because if you have any problem they will go out of their way to help.

S&S wants over 1000 dollars a week. Too much for my friends budget so still looking for a car for 3 months.

No I think it was over 1000 a month, a little more than 250 dollars a week. I made a little mistake on the time !!

That amounts to around $16 US per DAY, or $480 US per month, and maybe that's discounted further for a longer term rental. If your friends can't swing that, then it sounds like they want something they can't afford. Who doesn't? Good luck.

No its not that. Ron has a good deal but they do not cover their bugs covered with collision, only liability. If someone smashes into my friend and that person has no insurance or no collision, my friend is stuck. I really need to find something that is fully covered and I have found some good prices around town with full coverage with the help of the boards.
