Re: Basura
They have been hit and miss for a few weeks. I am in Riberas on M-W-F schedule. They usually are late, after 6 PM Monday or miss it altogether. Wed is iffy, Fridays seem consistant. Usually it means a truck is out of order but it is frustrating noy knowing.

Re: Basura
as is usual in any state/province, county and country in the world so i don't understand why some of you are always complaining about something that is not unusual. there is a remedy-it would be smart to move to chapala if this sort of thing bothers you so much-SNORK!
and you really think "all the tax dollars"? in that case you would not have ANY SERVICES at all.
yer parroting yer friend the coonster who knows nada about anything to do with gummint around here.

Re: Basura
No it is not, I give a tip when I have some extra garbage..Also here no one has to wait for the bell before they can unload their garbage on the street. We also get garden debris picked up.
We live in Ajijic and we have garbage pick up twice a week unless they have problem. They are nice and do a good job.
In France we go pick up once a week and so did we in California and we paid a whole lot more..

Re: Basura
We get trash pick ups 6 days a week and probably half of our neighbors tip them a few pesos each time.
They are very good about taking away escombro and garden debris.

Re: Basura
The only reason that they pick up so often in Chapala is that there is so much garbage there.

Re: Basura
Upper ajijic garbage has been normal but I know the white F350 duallie for small streets broke a few days ago so it may cause a shortage. Seen a Cab over engine (flat nose) truck replace it.
