Carne en su Jugo

Just a reminder that Gloria will be serving Carne en su Jugo tomorrow Wed Sept 2nd

I am going to make a guess that you are talking about Gloria's restaurant in El Chante. To get there, take the carretera west toward Joco and at the El Chante Hotel and Spa sign -turn toward the lake. The road will shortly dead end and Gloria's
will be right in front of your nose. Her food is always well worth a drive.

El Zapote in Chapala has carne en su hugo on their menu.
I beleive they are the only restaurant locally serving this on a regular basis.

Chile Verde in Ajijic has it once a week, every week. Also very good.

Fonda Doña Lola has carne en su jugo. I order it for breakfast so I assume it is available all day.

El Zapote's carne en su jugo is so good it is totally decadent. I admit I haven't tried all the others to compare. Viva Mexico has it sometimes - good but not as amazing as El Zapote.

Laura's Catering prepare the best carne en su jugo, it is just delicious!!!.

I know the phrase means meat in juice, but what is carne en su jugo? Is it a beef stew?

It is beef cooked in a tomatillo sauce with bacon, onion, and pinto beans, served with tortillas.

Joses in the plaza in Chapala has it daily as well as to go, I get it every other week to eat at the office.

El Zapote, on Morelos in Chapala serves it too; both are excellent.

Lucky me,my wife makes a great carne en su jugo.
