This topic always entertains me since, as a US Citizen, we must file and pay US Income Tax regardless of our expat status. We get nothing and we lose Medicare. Canadians at least have options, we have none.

And we get extra  Treasury Department forms to fill out if we have the audacity to have 10k USD in a bank here and other mind numbing rules only for us USA expats!!

Lose Medicare? I have heard after 65 you can pay for and receive Medicare as long as you are willing to go up there for treatment. No?

True, but not practical, the wait times and travel make it impractical. Besides, I prefer the medical care here.

Well in Canada there is no choice. If you aren't living in the country for the prescribed amount of time each year (every province has different allowances) then you are kicked off. Doesn't matter if you still pay taxes or not. If you go back there is a waiting period to get back on. In BC it is 90 days.
