2016 Chili Cook Off

Mark your calendars,

Next years Chili Cook Off will be held on February 26, 27 & 28, 2016 at Tobolandia Water Park in Ajijic. Our venue changes this year were a huge success so we will be repeating it once again in 2016.

One big change is Tecate has replaced Corona as one of the major sponsors. Tecate also distributes Dos XXX's and Heineken...........

Margarita competition is on Friday, Feb. 26
Chili Competetion is on Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 27 & 28

The competition is limited to 10 entries each day so the odds are very good.

The Chili Cook Off is open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. There was a misprint in the GDL Reporter that said we were open until 7pm. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Here are the results of the Margarita competition.

1st place - Just Chillin
2nd place - La Mesa
3rd place - Bomberos

The Chili competition starts at noon today. Gates open at 11:00am.

Congratulations to Zip Chili. They were the winners of today's Chili competition. Perry's Pizza came in second and Minnesota Snow White came in third. There will be a second round of competitor's on Sunday. Gates open at 11:00am. Tasting starts at noon.

We tried to find the Wildlife booth where they had a coatimundi & a snake (as well as who knows what) but they didn't seem to be there today. Did they only come for a day or two? I really wanted to see that.

They were only there on Friday & Saturday. The Coatamundi was very cool. I had the opportunity to hold him.

Congratulations to Mexican Revolution Chili for winning Sundays chili event. Second place was Jose Melendrez and third place was La Mesa restaurant.
