R.I.P. Skip Waggoner Empty R.I.P. Skip Waggoner

I was just informed by mutual friends that Harold "Skip" Waggoner passed away unexpectedly in his sleep around 4:30 AM this morning. He had not been ill and had only felt a bit more tired at bedtime last night according to his friend Felipe Montoya who came to pick him up for a trip into Guad this morning and found him in bed. Dr. Leon confirmed the time of death. Having lived here for 21 years, he was well known to many in the Lakeside area as the proprietor of Angel Flores Guesthouse in Ajijic and former assistant to the American counsel. We will all miss him at our Thursday Mexican Train games at Los Sabinos. We had just celebrated his 75th birthday (it was Oct. 11th) last Thursday with a big cake brought by friends Jack and Albert.

RIP Skip, I hope the cannas I brought you years ago are still there.  His place was/is, so different and special.

He will be missed, what a great guy, rest in peace Skip. Thanks for such a nice place to stay a couple of times when we needed it.
