INFLUENZA "EPIDEMIC"
For the past 3-4 weeks there as been an high rise in the number of influenza cases in Mexico and according to local health officials, it seems that the Guadalajara metropolitan area has been hit the hardest. Officially there has been little information in the news media and many speculate that it's been the Gov't wanting to calm fears during the PAPAL visit in Mexico.
Anyway, the local public hospitals in Gdl have been reporting a extraordinary number of cases (don't have numbers) and I know for a fact that their stocks of TAMIFLU have run out as well as in the surrounding pharmacies.
So, use proper hygiene and stay away from people who may have the symptoms of the FLU:
Fever* or feeling feverish/chills.
Cough.
Sore throat.
Runny or stuffy nose.
Muscle or body aches.
Headaches.
Fatigue (tiredness)
Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.Cough.
It is still not too late to get your FLU shot. It may not be 100% effective at preventing ALL viral infections but it is still your best shot at preventing this year's horrible FLU strain.
