Popcicles Empty Popcicles

Post by oncesubtle Thu May 12, 2011 10:03 am

Is there anyone who doesn't enjoy a popcicle on a summers day?

Down on the plaza in Chapala there is an ice cream shop with a mouth watering selection of 100% fresh fruit cicles for only 10 pesos each. Among their many offerings are mango, pineapple, coconut, strawberry, etc., you know, all your favs and then there are the cream filled fruit bars on a stick... oh lawdy, you jus gonna die and they're only 10 pesos!

Now imagine an afternoon lip-smack on a park bench in the plaza and wondering how in the hell you got so lucky.

I post this because the proprietor assures me he can meet any demand and I want to ensure his success, so let's chalk this self serving infomercial up to hedonism as the important things in life really are worth fighting for. cheers

Cream filled fruit bars? Would that be similar to a Creamsicle/Dreamsicle? That's my absolute favorite.

Yes it would Carry and might I recommend the raspberry 'dream'? Of course for decadence above and beyond Candace gets the coconut bars and dips them in chocolate. I'd like to try one but know the outcome and cringe at the thought giving Dr. Juan more reasons to scold. Life is tough. Rolling Eyes

Thanks, Oncesubtle. Now I'll have another addiction to feed. My latest is the chai frappe at Brenda's Bakery in Ajijic.

Across from Jara's Hardware, just west of where Dermika & the Casino are. In back is the iffy Telcel phone place.

Well good for you ferret and for an even shorter time you must try the churros filled with a fresh raspberry sauce vended just meters to the south of the popcicle joint, and those are the folks who specialize in fruit filled and chocolate crepes, things I would never touch Dr. Juan, honest!
