Independence Day

Any celebrations anywhere for this?

You must be a planner if you are working on September activities already.

Independence Day = Fourth of July

The OP was referring to Independence Day, I assume US Independence Day, 4 July. Sheesh. By and large US Holidays are not celebrated in Mexico save for a few restaurants and the American Legion. LCS used to have a celebration combining Canada Day, 1 July with US Independence Day but they discontinued it last year.

That was my point.....
I don't think I have ever seen a street named "4 de julio" in Mexico, but then again there could be, as they have named streets by just about anything under the sun in Guadalajara.

Technically, this event is for the American Independence Day, a picnic hosted by Democrats Abroad. But obviously, they won't turn us Canucks away from the event, eh?
It's being held at the Hotel Monte Carlo, July 2 from 3 pm-7 pm. Tickets are 250 pesos each. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, beans, cash bar, plus live music, games, and swimming at the pool if you wish!

Awesome venue.
