Yes, on several occasions, and haven't had any complaints. Sofas, dining room chairs upholstered seat cushions, and other home furnishings.
IMO....fair price, good work, and they do fairly well on completion time. Of course, as always, in Mexico, YMMV, as the previous post points out.

Recently used Oscar Castaneda of "Tapiceria Upholstery" in Chapala out past the Train Station. Did a beautiful job for a reasonable price. Huge selection of fabrics. Comes to your casa to measure and delivers on time.

Two good Tapecerias: One on Gonzalez Gallo in Chapala just before the glorieta and his son Miguel next to the Indonesian (?) furniture place just before the S turns heading east on the carretera. Look for the purple door.

I think you and gringal are recommending the same guy. People tell me he is the best but the OP wanted an opinion on the shop next to the post office,

Re: Upholsterers
I usually use Oscaar in Chapala, but he was super busy, so I used these guys, they put my rooster fabric upside down, so all the blood ran into there comb, Unfortunately it was a fabric I bought in Italy, so ended up using Oscar, he made pillows out of fabric he took off, he had a suitable rooster fabric to order, His work is superb...

You lost me. Who got a bad one?
Adding to Oscar kudos: My bazar-bought upholstered swiveling rocker was the most comfortable easy chair I'd ever found, but the fabric was beyond ugly. Some kind of slimy, shiny, gag green synthetic stuff. Now it's dark blue jeans color and disappears nicely in the room. He said it would be two weeks or so since he was busy, but he delivered in about a week. Nice man; speaks English if that matters.

Re: Upholsterers
WillieRae got a bad review from hickton on the place she asked about. I was referring her/him to 2 better ones. Guess I should of made that clearer. . .
