Pop-up Ads

What's with the pop-up ads?

I'm not getting any. Maybe it's in your system.

Hmm. Can't figure out how to kill them!

I asked about them yesterday ????

I'm not getting any pop-ups. Are your pop ups all the same theme, like vacation rentals, airline tickets etc?

I saw them a couple of times but I was not signed in at those times. Have never seen them when I was signed in. Don't know if that has something to do with it or is just a coincidence.

The new ads I'm seeing are just under the other local ads and they don't pop up and I am signed in.

They look like Google ads, Bob must have monetized the site.

I haven't seen any on this site, but I have ADBLOCK PLUS installed. I have seen them on a yahoo groups site when it first comes up, but they disappear when I sign in as a member. Mystery.

There is a small chance that it's malware. If you like.... here is a trusted link to a program I've used many years.  If you have maleware it will find it and get rid of it. Use the "free" download. https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/

Sorry, there was some maintenance that needed to be done to remove them. I have been sick with what appears to be dengue. Back to bed now......

I think that everyone who wants to wish CBob a speedy recovery should have started a new thread. The get-well wishes won't get noticed very well on a thread about pop-up ads!
