Ebikes

When I return to Mexico next month, I will be bringing my electric bicycle.


Are there many of them around there? I am too old to peddle my arse and love that I can get an assist when doing so or just, at the cost of battery time, let the motor do it all. Wave at me when you see me, it is easily recognized.

I've not seen any here at all. But there are many people on bikes here and also if the need arises good bike shops to help keep your bike in top shape.
I have seen a few bikes here with big tires like that though.

Unless you know to recognize the motor on the rear wheel, you would think it is a person on a regular bike. Another clue is the Ebike riders are sweat free. lol

yes but where's the battery???

I get 20 miles on a charge on flat land. Carrying a second battery pack with you is an option, but costs for the higher capacity battery a mere $329 US.

Hope that battery compartment locks.

It does not but the the battery has a lock that fixes it to the battery holder. I keep my Ebike in sight at all times.

The tires look perfect for the cobblestones (we call them that but think of rocks big ones and little ones) which is the reason I did not buy a electric scooter when they were sold lakeside a few years ago. Run your tires on low pressure and I think your bike will be excellent for lakeside. Bring down a really good chain and lock as they are much more expensive down here. You will have to lock up your bike while in the super market or such. We have the bikes with the big tires sold by Walmart locally but nothing electric wise like yours. Excellent choice to bring down.

We have a couple of ebikes here in the Riberas area, but wish we had the fat tires and bigger wheel size, but they work well enough. Ours have 18" wheels. I was admiring the Sondors bikes on Kickstarter. With any luck we'll see you on the streets.
