Brissi Restaurant
For all of you who enjoyed dining at the Brissi Restaurant (was located next to Egyptian Restaurant) in Riberas del Pilar, they will be reopening on or about July 5th a few blocks east of where they were located on the Carretera. Great food at fair prices and excellent service. They were forced to close when the lady whose house they were in decided to sell the property. If you haven't tried them, please do so--don't think you will be disappointed. Open for breakfast and lunch.

Perhaps you should tell us more about what you like about the food in this place you are touting. What makes it special in relation to other restaurants at Lakeside? "Fair prices" is a subjective criterion as is the quality of the food but it is the quality of the food that I would request you discuss. What kind of menu to they present? What is unique about the dining experience there?

Thanks Dawg..Just what I was wondering. Also, not all of us live in "Gringo Gulch" so if the directions were more specific it would help.

Re: Brissi Restaurant
It isn't a fancy place but serves excellent breakfasts and great sandwiches. Owner and wife run it so food is consistent (i.e., salsas and sauces always taste the same). Cuban sandwiches, hamburgers/fries, etc., for lunch and both American and Mexican items for breakfast. They are also spotlessly clean. Prices are on the "low"side in my opinion. Hope this helps.
