A friend took me to this place for breakfast. It is across the street from Superlake. I have never been there before or ever heard anyone speak of it. What a great place. The food was awesome. The service was very good. It was quite busy. Give it a try.

I've eaten there at least once a week since I came down here 5 years ago.

Carmen. the owner. is also an awesome baker. Try any of her pies or other desserts to take home.

Tom, her son. runs the restaurant.

The great thing is the fact that even though their menu shows certain items on certain days, Tom told me that if they have the ingredients available, they'll usually make you any dish off the menu that you choose.

Tis true. I ordered a "Thursday" item today.

When I was staying at Hotel Perico, I went there one morning for breakfast. There were people sitting at the tables that I guess were waiting until it opened at 9. To me that would be brunch and I went to the Sunrise. I will try brunch there soon based on the reviews. Thanks for sharing.

Yep! Makes me think of the famous saying by Wimpy (from the Popeye and Wimpy cartoons)......"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today".....

One of my favorite breakfast spots. They are on "high" season hours now, but starting in April (I think) through the summer, they close early, at 2 I believe. Both sets of hours are on the doors.

Very nice food and pleasant service. We have enjoyed every meal, both breakfast and lunch we have had there. Nice plate presentation too.
