The Eagles sue Hotel California

I was there (in Todos Santos) a couple of months ago and wondered how they were getting away with it.

So, being that there are two different countries involved doesn't matter?

There is a Hotel California in Mazatlan as well...old.  Not sure about music there. And probably a lot more than 2 around the world.

Well I guess if the others have been leading people to believe that they are associated with The Eagles then they will get sued too.

Yes he would however whether or not he would pursue it is another matter. I think this "Hotel California" in Todo Santos has started to attract too much attention on internet review sites such as TripAdvisor which has prompted The Eagles to take action.

I think you're right. They should have just kept the low-key association they've enjoyed for all these years. tsk

Yep, although they are careful not to sell anything that directly represented The Eagles in their gift shop. The place itself doesn't even remotely look like the picture on the front of the album so I'm not sure why people believe it is.

The Todos Santos one has been around for many years.... sometimes open, sometimes closed. But always with the 'myth' that it is.... or not.

Have a feeling this will go away.
