Cordcutting - Plex
Plex just emailed me this link which helps eliminate a lot of confusion about cordcutting - using internet access for you entertainment needs, rather than cable or satellite. I think it does a good job. I have the free Plex, and haven't completed my server yet. The upgrades cost more, but they really make things a lot simpler than KODI plus they offer a lot of accessories which again, make everything easier. Like organising the giant heap of files the internet has become.

Also here is an article on how to install Plex on a Linux Mint run computer. Linux enables you to setup an old computer into a very stable and capable media server. Unfortunately, this is a little more complicated, but there is a local technician who could set everything up for you for a modest fee.

Thanks for the great links. Now with Shaw Direct slowly changing its channels to a satellite we can not pick up down here, by year 2019 0r 2020, more of us will need to stream.
