Mexicanico - VAK Innovations
On the way to the airport is a custom limo and car fabrication shop called VAK Innovations. This is where they film the Discovery Channel show called Mexicanicos. We went there for a tour this morning. If you are a motorhead this is a must see.

WOW!
Now, what's the thing protruding from the upper area in the rear of the semi-Airstream?

I wondered the same thing gringal. Perhaps it's their very own wind generator for electricity to battery back up? I'd love to see the inside of that rig when it's done.

It's the 18th picture. Looks like a travel trailer.

That's the "heli-limo". Just a silly creation that is supposed to look like a helicopter.

Wow! Who knew. Thanks for sharing. I want the little old green pickup photo #7. Is it a Model T?

The gyro attachment is so you can park sideways, say into a tight spot in Ajijic
I like the one where the guy is spraying the yellow truck with an HVLP paint sprayer - no mask, no paintbooth.

Re: Mexicanico - VAK Innovations
There were about 20 employees working in there. Most projects also involved fiberglass and/or body filler. I only saw one guy wearing a dust mask (no positive air or anything remotely similar). Everyone else had nada although the facility does have huge open air areas. The guy doing the spraying was just doing some quick touchups. I was more wondering about the overspray getting onto the other projects though.......

Here is another link I ran across "56 of the worst cars of all time". Actually some of them have some nice design features. It would be fun to find a scrapped hybrid Prius and chassis, then slap on the retro fibreglass.
