So if you want peace of mind you pay a monthly fee and give these companies all your pertinent data so they can notify you of any unlawful activities. Mmm, I have plenty of money lying around so I'll just send them some so they can take care of me

Re: Equifax
I went to Equifax's site to check if I have been "compromised". When I gave them my info (last name, last 6 of SS#) it instantly went to a page that said I may have been compromised and gave me an enrollment message for their Premium Plan. So they let 143,000,000 people's info out and their answer is to trick people into paying for "protection".

Re: Equifax
In yet another win for the banksters the Equifax security breach will be seen as your inability to manage credit and your credit score will plummet. Any future financing will cost you dearly.

I haven't borrowed any money in over a decade and keep almost nothing in US banks. I really don't care

It probably means that they don't want to deal with those who have a Mexican IP address. If you want to go there, you'll need a "VPN" such as ExpressVPN, which will make it appear that you are somewhere in the U.S.
You can google it for the details.
