XILL FESSENDEN STUDIO SALE

Noted Lakeside photographer Xill Fessenden is having a Spring studio sale (expo venta) of works spanning 50 years. Both framed and unframed pieces. Everything has been discounted 40% or more. This sale will benefit the Open Air (Aire Libre) Gallery on the Ajijic Plaza.

Never heard of it. The Ajijic Society of the Arts used to have a once a month showing there, but ???

Hi, if you go to the Plaza, you will see ten outdoor photo installations in the garden area. The current exhibit is vintage photographs from Ajijic in the 1950s. Xill curates thematic exhibits related to Ajijic. Xill - a Mexican citizen - has done several exhibits of her own personal work such as “Generaciones - Las Familias de Ajijic”, “Existimos - La Flora y Fauna de Ajijic”. GALA is promoted by the local government in support of the identity of Ajijic. It’s a part of “el ráscate” or the rescue of tradition and culture of the area. This started as Xill’s personal project and she did get support for the creation of the stands, in 2016.

This has nothing to do with the ASA exhibits or others displaying work on the plaza.
