BBVA closed Friday

Went to the BBVA at Ajijic plaza Friday around 12:00 and they were closed. Anyone know why ?

Because today is Mexican President day (once every 6 years) some folks considered Friday a Holiday. Some banks were open

I imagine the banks that are normally open 6 days per week are closed today and those that are only open 5 days per week (Like Bancomer) took yesterday as a day in lieu.
