Anyone been to Recinto Maya Kay above El Chante?

What is it?

An aquarium with dolphins! I stumbled across it when looking for things to do lakeside. I have never heard of it.

I've seen the sign for quite some time but have never gone up there or heard anyone talk about it.

Nor have I! Interesting enough to go explore.

I went and checked this place out yesterday. Their prices were pretty good compared to the "swim with the dolphins in Nuevo Vallarta" however their facilities were not impressive. Their best price was $600p for 10 minutes with the dolphins and a picture. They appeared to have two dolphin's who looked to be very healthy and friendly.

That doesn’t look like a very nice facility for the dolphins. Looks too small.

Anything for a profit.

What could possibly go wrong when self-interest, ignorance and permission from above combine.

Seriously? That is the size of the pool the dolphins are living in??? WTF
Better than going there, rescue the dolphins.

There are 3 pools connected together. I only got one of the pools in the shot. They refused to get in the vocho with me......jaja.

I would have thought they’d enjoy the ride in a convertible.

Supporting this type of animal exploitation is wrong.

Well there was no one exploiting it when I was there. I was the only person there other than the staff. I didn't get a picture of the dolphins cause I thought they would charge me for it.

Just keeping them confined like that and charging people to swim or whatever with them is animal exploitation. Wonder how they got them. . .

Me and the Fam have been there. They offer "shows". IMO that is the best, unless you actually want to swim with the dolphins. If I ever get time to edit it, I will have it up on my youtube...
