Cute as a bug!

Of course it doesn't give a potential price but, with the state of the roads here, an off road ATV that is electric and made by VW may be just the ticket (no pun intended ;) ).

We have a souped up electric golf cart that's four wheel drive. WE LOVE IT! No noise...doesn't scare wildlife and goes all day on a charge. This new VW looks perfect...depending on price of course.

A great idea however in mexico a large charging system might put you in DAC (high CFE bill). I would suggest looking at your bill and see if you have spare capacity. Simply put anything over 3000KwH per year will reward you with DAC billing. Solution if you are near DAC is solar. I built an array on my roof that can be moved using solar panels and micro inverters mounted on back of panels. If my landlord refuses to buy the array I will move it.

Other than being electric, it seems it would be easy for someone here to "convert" their Bug into that style.
As to the golf cart, there was a discussion a few months ago about the law not allowing them on the streets. This could be enforced easier than the idea that an ATV isn't licensed for the streets, since golf carts are not licensed as far as I know.
