A little Draconian I would say.

As many of you know, I have been on "strike" paying my fracc fees for two years because the BOS (two in two years) wouldn't add interest to past due fees. I wrote email and they were ignored. Finally, A notice was passed out to us Morosos that if we didn't pay up, a 2% interest charge would be added (not retroactive). There must have been a lot of meetings and committees.

As I promised, I was within the first group to not only pay in full, but pay in advance for the full 2019 year.

Here is the problem I see.

The notice, and I quote says: "A list of all delinquent users will be given to the person in charge of security. In the event that you have a security issue, support will not be provided."

I asked theOffice Manager that if the person in charge of security sees something suspicious at the house of a moroso, or a burglary (called a robbery in Mexico) in progress or worst case scenario, someone behind in their dues being attacked bya dog/person, will nothing be done? He said according to the BOD ruling, the security person will not provide any support.

Can you believe that.

The Office Manager said that he believed that should the security person see such an instance, he (Office Manger) says he believes the security person, being a very nice guy, would probably put his job on the line and take some affirmative action.

I'm sure a very few people here would say that if someone doesn't pay their dues, let them be beaten, robbed or raped; serves them right.

To the OP- Why should your neighbors be shouldering the burden of your unpaid fees? If you were living in the U.S. in an area with an HOA, a lien would have been placed on your property long ago with not only the original amount owed but legal fees and interest accruing monthly. I personally think you got off easy and given that you paid up, your fracc's solution for morosos was effective.

You're old and life is short. Why not quit all this B.S. back and forth disagreements with everyone and just relax and enjoy what time you have left? If you can't see it, YOU are the problem, not those you constantly harass.

Gotta agree. Why go around looking for problems. I tend to avoid them.
