Getting from GDL to San Diego. Best option.
In a few weeks, I need to get from GDL to San Diego. No flights other than to LAX then get to S.D for one day and then back to LAX to come back.
I'm thinking of flying to Tijuana, walking across the border, taking a shuttle or such to S,D. and for the return, Spending night in S.D., doing what I need the next day, then come back to T.J. and then a flight back to GDL.
Other option could be go to LAX then bus/shuttle to S.D., night at S.D., shuttle back to LAX then to GDL.
My one concern is a lot of walking which I can't do well.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Have friends that fly to Tijuana and walk across 4-5 times a year, they say it's very easy. Another beautiful day in Ajijic

I'm reading about delays 10 to 20 hours at TJ border, but that may be for cars only, not walkthroughs.
I think there is a shuttle of some sort to San Diego, but don't know if I have to reserve in advance.

It is an easy walk but is 390 feet across the bridge which is really
a long, narrow terminal that zig-zags. You can request a wheel chair.

A wheelchair would really help and I didn't know that.
Thank you.

If you're rich do what you want. The airport is nowhere near San Isidro. There is a train to the border. There are taxis to the border, horses, mules, bumper cars, drones. Taking people to the border is probably the most ubiquitous business in the city. Well, pharmacies and casas de cambio are up there too.
There are many doable Hotels on the south side of the airport tarmac. Probably charge you $119.99 in SD. Of course if you're one of those neurotic paranoiac gringos whose arms are sore from clutching your belongings, you better just get to SD as fast as you can and pay 5 times more. Oh, casas de cambio are prime spots to unload counterfeit bills.

I think I know who SanFran was posting as on TOB. Anyone else clue in to the writing style?

It´s funny how my pet skunk can change his name lurking around the garden, but his odor always stays the same.

Anyone who follows the rules are welcome. Keep the "crap" in the Octagon or political section and have fun.

Sandbox or not, there have been a few who went so far over the line that you booted them on general principles, and deservedly so. It will be interesting to watch.

We don't play that way outside the Octagon. Surely that is easy enough to understand? No?
