CFE in Ajijic Centro

We just got a call from the CFE office telling us to expect an power outage from 9am to 6pm tomorrow as they are installing new lines.

Did they say whether this was a local, like only your street, or a larger area that will be impacted?

I called them back and they said sorry we meant La Floresta not Ajijic Centro.

Well whatever it is it must be a private undertaking as the CFE knew nothing about it. The number I called back was some La Floresta admin person who thought we lived in La Floresta.

CFE issues have been affecting SAT as well.. the water district (or whatever they call it) caused our complex to not have water for several days a week ago due to lack of pumping on their part.. and today, CFE was apparently trying to replace old wire & then somehow shorted out (?) or fried the power such that our complex gate & common area power went down. It has been just unbelievable lately - with Telcel cell service sucking eggs in SAT, Telmex always a lame excuse for internet & now CFE apparently training people on the job. And oh yeah, did you hear? the reason the buses are so infrequent, packed and expect to wait an hour ...? some admin decided to cut the salaries of the bus drivers, so a bunch quit. so yeah, the bright lights are really shining in Chapala gov't..

I couldn't make this up
