DirectTV Now
Hola:
Does anyone around here set up streaming DirectTV Now? We have Shaw satellite and have already lost quite a few sd channels. Our dish is old and no one can say when Shaw will stop their signal for down here. The time has come for us to switch.
Gracias

I have heard about that too. The trouble with using a satellite dish is that you only get about 50% of the US DirecTV channels and fewer if it even gets slightly cloudy, here along the shores of Lake Chapala

Thanks for responding, Pete. That's why I was wondering about the internet streaming version of DirectTV Now. We're on the coast and had a guy that was supposed to come and set it up, but he's been a no-show for 2 weeks now and we're coming up to the Lake for a vacation....tomorrow.
I was wondering if someone there offered the same service.

I sure hope so. There are folks lakeside who do offer various streaming services.

Re: DirectTV Now
Shaw is converting all SD channels to HD. Many of them are on the F1 and F2 satellites, which means we still get them here. Just ensure you have a 600 or 800 series receiver, and that your dish is set up for HD. It will be years and years before those channels are gone.

If a receiver and LNB has already been changed over to the new 3rd sat. system up north would all I need to do is bring the appropriate XKU LNB for the dish there? I know it would not get the 3rd sat. there.

Re: DirectTV Now
Shaw Direct has too satellite Dish sizes, the smaller 60E which works fine up here in the North getting all three satellites and the larger 75E elliptical dish which some of us use up north in rainy areas, which is needed in Mexico to get the signal from the two satellites, (Anik F1R and Anil F2) that blead over into Mexico.
The newer Anik G1 satellite is better focused on Canada, and doesn't bleed over into Mexico
Others use a 1.2 meter satellite dish with 2 offset flashlight LNBs in Mexico.
I could go on and on.

Thanks for the replies. I see amazon has the new 75e LNB.
