Kenny Rogers RIP
I'm so sad but still remember singing along to his songs with friends at a chalet in Collingwood, Ontario. My favourite "microphone" was a kitchen whisk. Great times, great memories. Thank you Kenny!

He sure learned how to "hold em" and now, sadly, he´s learned how to "fold em"

Kenny Rogers was not a particular favorite of mine but I have enjoyed his music over the years. Loved your memory, Ferret. I can picture the scene.

Re: Kenny Rogers RIP
"Every gambler knows
That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
And knowin' what to keep
'Cause every hand's a winner
And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for is to die
in your sleep"
And the last time we sang this song as a family was last September, around a campfire, in Northern Ontario.

Oh my, now I just won´t be able to sleep tonight because of your opinion of me, "You picked a fine time to leave me, little italy"
Just had an afterthought…..maybe you aren´t too educated in Kenny´s lyrics. If not, then I understand your comment.

I bet that's it. Or LI is cranky due to the present circumstances.
I thought it was quite clever, Slainte!

Re: Kenny Rogers RIP
I once commented to a fellow worker on a 80yo doctor whom we liked. He had been drinking, went to the bathroom, slipped and fell and died later without coming out of his coma. So I said “that’s the way to go, get drunk and not suffer”. Well, she got her feelings hurt and never talked to me after that. To each his own.
