rolling power outages
It has been announced that CFE will allow the power grid to shutdown from 6:00-to 11:00 pm to allow a bleed off of our power to assist the emergency in Texas.

From TOB:
"It says Tues 6 to 10 pm, rolling and random cutouts for: The states that will be affected by the "rotary and random load cuts" are Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Colima, Estado de México, Michoacán, Nayarit, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas."

It is not to assist TX, it is to assist the northern states in Mexico that are affected by the freeze, bad weather.

Re: rolling power outages
From Alfaro's FB page, translation via google
As you know, in recent days the north of the country had severe impacts with the power supply that left almost 5 million people in the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas.
In Jalisco we do not receive official communication from the federal government alerting our state; however, in a tweet from the Cenace México, it is warned that Jalisco, among other states, will have rotary and random power outages of 6 to 11 pm
Yesterday we received reports of electricity interrupting in at least 36 municipalities, mainly between 7 and 8 pm. We need to stay tuned and prevented and streamline the use of electric power. Need to disconnect everything that is not in use.
From the Government of Jalisco, we are working in coordination with the 125 municipalities of the state to address this contingency and avoid affectations in public services, hospital infrastructure, work and home classes.
Meanwhile, Mexico needs us today to reduce our energy consumption. Let's do what's in our hands for all this means for our lives, economy and basic services that require electric power. I will keep informing you.

Re: rolling power outages
Is Lakeside considered part of Metro Guadalajara? Best to be prepared in any event.

Random power outages are warned in 12 states, including Jalisco
The National Center for Energy Control CENACE informs that this February 16, starting at 6:00 in the afternoon, there will be rotating and random load cuts in the states of Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Colima, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero , Michoacán, Nayarit, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas which means that in different areas of these entities there will be power cuts and blackouts.
The scheduled cuts will be made in response to the increase in demand in the evening and at night in the National Interconnected System and the lack of sufficient generation to cover the northern and northeastern regions of the country, so the blackouts will take place at 6:00 a.m. from afternoon to 11 at night.
The commission recommends that the inhabitants of these entities disconnect electronic devices that are not required, close curtains and blinds to conserve heat, reduce or turn off non-essential production processes.
Sources consulted by Notisistema confirm that the power cuts will not affect the metropolitan area of Guadalajara.

TOB means The Other Board
The Other Board is chapala dot com. Except when you are over there. Then TOB refers to Inside Lakeside.
