airport info
We are flying international at 7 am on a sunday. How much time with the new protocols do we need at the airport before now?

Re: airport info
Actually things can take longer now with people filling out covid forms, etc. I would give at least 3 hours.

Re: airport info
HarryB, here are some tips. Get a copy of the INM form and have it filled out before you get there. Search for the US CDC travel form and print it, sign it, and take it with you to the airport. Register at the VuelaSeguro website now, and then when you get to the airport fill out (online) the health questionnaire while you wait in line. If your airline allows it, check in online. Use the security line on the second floor (upstairs above the immigration office) where the lines are generally shorter. All these things will shorten your lag time at the airport. We fly back several times a year, do all these things, and routinely are in the airline lounge (after security) 30 minutes after arriving at the airport. Good luck!

I can only speak to my own experience, but there's nothing special about me: I went to Canada in August. I got to the airport 90 minutes before takoff... as is my wont. No problem at all. And that included the sidetrip to the Aduana window.CanuckBob wrote:Actually things can take longer now with people filling out covid forms, etc. I would give at least 3 hours.

Well things can go smooth. On the other hand my wife just flew to PV. She was 45 minutes at the check in counter and 45 minutes at security........busy day and she didn't have to do the IMN part.

It could be different now, gearing into tourist season, than in August. May be much more crowded, longer security line-ups, checking vax and PCR tests.

Re: airport info
I found checking vaccination record and my PCR test took mere seconds. However, those with f***ed up paperwork are definitely going to add time. I get there 90 minutes before, but as I said... nothing has changed since before Covid. If anyone thinks they need 3 hours to leave for the US, then do it.
