The menu looks great! Oysters on the half shell and I don't have to shuck them. I may see you there.

No, of course not.

So the grand opening was a success. A few minor glitches but overall I think they did very well for the first night. Everyone in our group of 10 was pleased with their meals. We ended up staying there for drinks until 11:00pm.
I had the garlic butter grilled monkfish (special of the day not on the menu) and my wife had the grilled salmon.

Really nice presentations. It is a welcome addition to the local restaurant scene. If it stays as good as it was last night we will be regulars there. Having Sushi/Sashimi within close proximity to where we live is a real bonus for me.

The Cocktail Bar is just around the corner from where you live. It used to be called Tom's Bar many years ago. Look it up on Google maps. They also have the bar and separate restaurant downstairs. I'm sure they would serve you the food from upstairs in the lower area if you tell them you can't do the stairs.

Yes, the cream cheese in rolls seems to be a Mexican thing. I always order "sin queso".

We were there last night for our sushi fix and noticed they have Alaskan King Crab on the menu. The only other place I have seen this in Mexico was at Red Lobster in Guadalajara which is now closed.
It is not cheap at $1500 mxn per plate (3 large legs) however I was just in Alaska in June and they were selling 3 legs for $75.00 USD also, so for Mexico, Los Compadres is a great price.

i can remember low price all-you-an-eat king crabs in the 1970s and 80s at seafood joints in DC-Metro.
AK cancelled the 2021-2022 king crab (and other crabs) season due to low populations. May be victims of climate change.
