What's the best rental site?

I have a friend I'm trying to entice to Lakeside. Trying to find the best website of rental houses so she can get a taste of what's available.

How long a visit? For short term rentals (under 3 months) most are at Airbnb or VRBO. The ones listed with realtors are often 6 months (seasonal).

i found one on chapala.com - and found some other popular websites were really unresponsive - still waiting for a response from a very popular website with a question about a house - from several months ago. Received another response 1 month after question.

Bare in mind that info on websites is frequently out of date - so best correspond directly with someone handling rentals

I also prefer agencies to individuals - unless you can get references for the landlord. Finally did ask for landlord references and got the best rental ever!!

Good to know. I think all it will take is for her to take a "look see". I was hooked the first time we drove through the "purple tunnel" twenty years ago.
