firewood
Does anyone know the going rate for a truckload of firewood?
My friends were quoted 800 pesos for a truckload of softwood; they do not want mesquite. (I know, I know: 'truckload' can be as fungible a term as 'manana...')
It has been ages since I had a fireplace, so I don't know what price range is current.
My thinking was if it was dry, seasoned wood, cut to the proper size, delivered and stacked 800 pesos was acceptable.
thanks for your help!

Re: firewood
It doesn't sound a bad price to me. Your friend can always ask for a discount or make an offer if he thinks it's too costly.

You may find some needed info from a search on TOB:

It appears that some price by the wheelbarrow load in a range from $150 to $200MXN. How many wheelbarrow loads to a pickup load?
I realize that your friends do not want mesquite but they may wish to consider the "bug factor" when storing and burning softwoods. Softwoods provide excellent storage for bugs and a great way to introduce them both into exterior and interior areas.
