Pounding Rain Last Night!
A storm cell must have parked itself over our place in Ajijic Centro last night.... 2.21 inches!

My lawn looks like a lake this morning. I slept through it.

3.5 inches on San Mateo in Riberas. A river runs through it.

Lucky you! When I wasn't lying awake staring at the ceiling, I had dreams about being in a rainstorm!

I live in Jocotepec and we get much less rain than the Chapala area....I don't know if that is better or not but it is our situation.

IL weather reports 1.3", but I think Chapala got more than that. The pit in front of the Municipal building looks to be 5 feet deep.. not a swim hole yet - water seems to be absorbing.. hope govt records aren't in a basement... lol. 18" boulders falling from mountain onto bike bath between Chapala & Riberas, with tons of mud coming down that vertical grade road, new view sites development.. gosh what could possible go wrong there on a fault line.

In upper Ajijic my water measuring tube showed just less than 5 cm (just less than 2 inches)

However, in Ajijic Centro, it's pouring as of a little after 9.

FERRET:
Given you attention to detail, wonder if you keep a running total? We apparently live not far away and pretty much realize that Ajijic Weather's totals are not the same as ours. My observation is rudimentary in that I look at the change in water level of the pool.

The total gets put on my calendar daily and eventually gets totaled by month and then by year. For the month of August, at my location, I have received 12.4 inches of rain compared to the Ajijic weather site in Rancho del Oro which shows 8.83 inches for August as of right now... https://www.ajijicweather.com/wxindex.php

Yep, I think our totals in Ajijic Centro more reflect your totals Ferret. The weather station has been getting less for sure.
