Tortas Ahogadas y Tacón de Mar
This place is fairly new at Laguna Mall.
They offer a lot of different filings for the tortas. In addition to the standard pork, they offer chicken and shrimp. You can also get these tortas in small sizes (basically half). Allows you to taste and share.
Their standard one is pretty good, the pollo is a bit bland. The shrimp ones come with a slightly different broth to drown in and were very tasty and unusual. The shrimp tortas have avocado.
We had Traitte deliver them and the small shrimp ones were 52p while the chicken and pork were 48p. I think the large full size tortas run 78p for pork or chicken.
I can't find a menu for them other than at the Traitte app.

Re: Tortas Ahogadas y Tacón de Mar
Another order of shrimp torta ahogada.
The size and number of shrimp (7 or 8) on an 89p torta is impressive. The torta is large enough to cut in half and share. The shrimp quality/size is equal to what we get at higher-end spots like Cocinart.
I'm not crazy about their pickled onions...not very pickled and dotted with dried oregano. Luckily we always have a batch of home-pickled onions in our fridge.
Their seafood broth is outstanding. I heat it a bit before serving as it helps 'drown' the torta quicker.
Highly recommend! We either order via Traitte, or pick-up and take home.

Is this place (Tortas Ahogadas y Tacón de Mar) located in the "food court" ? Is that the name of the place ?

If you stood in front of Subway and looked south and down the steps, you will see it. Alternatively, walk past the Scandanavian Bakery to go up the steps to the food court and it is on your left.
