I’d like to know more about it too. Lots of claims but would like to know exactly what it helps.

I suggest that you do a LOT of reading on sights like Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, WebMD etc and less on forums where antidotal information is at best unverifiable.
Warning: there are a lot of charlatans out there.

All I know about it is that a neighbor said it was helping him. He's only in his forties, but is somewhat messed up physically from a major car accident he had when he was 17. Mostly one of his knees, where he had a lot of ongoing pain, that caused him to limp, and that's what he was getting the stem cell injections for.

Oh, stem cells and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) can be exceedingly beneficial. But NOT when administered by a quack in ways and places and by what means that are 'easy' to promote but don't/can't have the intended performance. And the placebo effect can be high in this arena.

My point was to educate yourself and then seek out bonafide practitioners.

Do you know of anyone at Lakeside who you would recommend?

Oh, I understood that, I was just replying to the OP's question about whether it really can help.

For sure, like any medical or dental procedure, you want to get solid recommendations for reputable practitioners and even go to a couple or three to talk to them before letting anyone mess with the only body you have.

I have no experience or recommendations but I have heard that Dra. Justina in West Ajijic does offer stem cell therapy. She is located between the Blue Rose Restaurant and Yves Restaurant. Suerte! Please keep us informed as to your findings.

LOL. Naw, blame it on autocorrect especially if you were posting using your cell phone. I hate autocorrect.
