Was hoping for personal info I googled ...but not everything stays the same. We used to go there with Ginger She took us there especially for the eggs benedict. Just thinking about her.

I find the best way to find or investigate any local restaurant is using Google maps. 99% of them are on it and it will show operating hours, menus, reviews, websites, etc. I advise all our guests to use it for just about anything they are looking for around here.

If not, I find the eggs benedict at Cafe Negro in San Antonio to be very good. Artsnob also raved about the benedict at BASIL THAI in Ajijic on Hidalgo (David's old place); or try Elegante on Constituccion 59 for Sunday brunch.

Cocinart's Eggs Bennie still the best around. Only Sundays.

Daily, the ones at Scallion are good and available thru lunch hour.

Thank you Carrie! That's the info I was looking for! I'd rather have feedback from actual people... I can google myself. My Spanish if pitiful so I seldom go the telephone route.

We used to occasionally buy liter containers of egg whites from Cafe Negro.
One day I asked Thomas, the manager, why they had so many egg whites. He replied "Hollandaise - We serve 800 servings of eggs benedict a week."

Min Wah is closed this Thursday. I know this because our group that meets there each Thursday were informed that they would be closed. They might be taking a longer break or vacation`, I do not know. But you should probably check if you are going this week.

kip , things have changed since you awere last here, you are better off asking where there is good Hollandaise than go back to a place you have not been for year as you are bound to be disappointed.. Memory is often better than reality..

or meringhies.. that is what they do in the places that make rompope..In bordeaux they use egg white to filter impurities out of wine as well and mak a lot of deserts with egg whites .
