Norma to Cat 4
Norma looks to be another nasty hit for the Pacific coast. Track has it skimming by PV to Cabo San Lucas then turning east to the mainland. Texas to get torrential rains.

She spit a bit of drizzle here off/on this AM. Some clearing now but may get more misty stuff later. Only 70 degrees! I had to dig out a pair of socks.

A neighborhood chihuahua-mix was wearing a sweater this morning. He belongs to a Mexican family and has a larger clothing wardrobe than I do.

That's not what is being reported from on the ground. From a guy near La Paz on a Baja forum, posted at 12:07 pm:
"BAD STORM!
road to my house is gone
power is out
lotsa rain
severe damage to my property
lost 20 ft palm trees
all locally built windows and doors leak - a lot
all my US windows are, as they should be, tight and dry
pool is overflowing
about 7" of rain so far
and the heavy rain has not even arrived yet
about as bad as Odile in 2004"

Gee, 70 degrees is sock weather? And here I thought I was a total wimp when it comes to being cold. :-)

My tile floors get really cold!
Normally I only wear socks 1 month out of year (mid Dec to mid Jan.)
Also, I was in AZ for a month until last week where highs were averaging 100 degrees. My blood must have thinned!

This was a weird hurricane. It made landfall near Todos Santos, where my daughter lives, but they didn't have any significant damage there. It crossed the peninsula and hit La Paz hard.
