Another bad hurricane

Hurricane Otis- Category 5, sustained winds of 260 km/hr., just about to hit Acapulco. Looks like they are going to get slammed.

This went from a nothing burger to a major hurricane in a very short period of time. Prayers for those on the coast near Acapulco.

Yes, it turned into a monster really quickly. I hope the folks around there had adequate time to prepare.

This is worrying for residents of Acapulco... estimated 15 BILLION dollars in damage... stores have been looted and are empty... 27 dead, 4 missing...

Yes, it's a disaster of major proportions. Will take years for them to recover. Building high rise hotels on the beach when you live in hurricane alley is probably not a smart idea.
Also Acapulco is an old resort town. Lots of structures were built long ago and poorly.
